Meet Miss Emily

Emily is a dedicated early childhood educator with over a decade of experience in the field. She earned her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Aquinas College, where she deepened her understanding of early childhood development and the pivotal role of play in shaping young minds.​
With a natural talent for connecting with children, Emily creates a warm and nurturing environment that fosters both learning and growth. She recognizes and respects the uniqueness of each child, tailoring her educational approach to accommodate individual needs and learning styles. Her commitment to personalized education ensures that each child’s strengths are nurtured and their challenges are addressed.​
Throughout her career, Emily has worked with children from a variety of backgrounds, developing her expertise in crafting inclusive and culturally sensitive classrooms. She is a staunch advocate for high-quality early childhood education and is dedicated to providing developmentally appropriate programs that inspire a love of learning and a connection to nature.​
Having grown up in Alaska, Emily experienced an education deeply rooted in the local environment and community. She now aims to bring that enriching educational experience to preschoolers in the Grand Rapids area.
Meet Ms. Sarah

Sarah has been with TreeSchool for two years and we are excited to announce next year she will be leading a 3-6 year old class!
Here is a bit more about the amazing Ms. Sarah!
She has a Masters in special education from Grand Valley and a Bachelor’s in psychology and elementary education with special education endorsements in emotional impairment and learning disabilities from Grand Valley.
She is also a Certified yoga instructor through Breathe for Change.
She just received her Level 1 Forest Teacher certification from the Association for Nature Based Education.
